Three kids from ACC Malawi (Wan En, Wan Xiang & Ah Om) recently participated in the African leg of the 4th Chinese proficiency international contest, hosted by the organisation Chinese Bridge. The kids’ exceptional ability in communicating in Mandarin Chinese earned them the first place in this round! This means that they will travel to China in October to compete in the final round of the compeition, together with other non-Chinese speaking teenagers from around the world.

After winning this round Miss Wang, a Chinese teacher at ACC, said: “It was an unforgettable moment when the organizer announced that the first prize goes to Malawi, Amitofo Care Centre! I am sure that the donors and all the people who support ACC would be proud of this achievement!”

Congratulation to the kids who have made tremendous effort in learning this difficult language!
